Typed directly onto the typewriter, these Moon Bites are unpremeditated unedited glimmers of what author Natalie Goldberg calls “wild mind.” May they gift you something fresh, alive, and wiggling. May they inspire practical and poetic juice for this lunation— and beyond.
Typed kneeling before my low table five minutes before my first patient then completed during lunch break, here’s my first iteration of Moon Bites. I’d taken a short walk before clinic, and got an idea: type it up. No editing. Don’t think about it. Just type.
My “Honey Sky” (current name, new beloved) typewriter offers me the immediate gratification of words on a page, clicking, whirring, and a little mindfulness chime at the end of each line. Like eating fat tomatoes ripe off the vine or stuffing my face into a freshly opened Passionflower, this is divine. Enjoy today’s (very experimental) fruits.
