Hello friend,
It’s that “widening circles” time of year that Rilke describes in this poem:
I live my life in widening circles
that reach out across the world.
I may not complete this last one
but I give myself to it.
I circle around God, around the primordial tower.
I’ve been circling for thousands of years
and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?
— Rainer Maria Rilke, translated by Joanna Macy
How do you “circle around the primordial tower” of this year— and your life? Metal Element governs the autumnal season of reflection, release, and manifestation. Here are two of my favorite Metal Element inspired questions:
How are you becoming a good ancestor?
What practices and rituals help you transform passing experiences into lasting change?
Walk with these questions. Reflect on the gifts and burdens of this past year. What beauty will you carry forward into 2025? What weight will you set down from 2024?
Reflect & Manifest
Here’s a TEMPLATE and GUIDE to reflect on 2024 and manifest the 2025 of your dreams.
Download, share with friends, print… do as you please. And:
I hope that you have some kind of “Reflect & Manifest” process! It’s important to look back before stepping forward.
Have fun!
